Chiliboy has an eye on business
Cell C Sharks hooker, Chiliboy Ralepelle, was born in Tzaneen back in 1986. Ralepelle has represented the Springboks in 22 Tests and is a former SA Schools player.
Ralepelle first made a name for himself with the Bulls and later played for French club Toulouse.
Ralepelle joined the Sharks in 2016 and today we chat to him.
Who was your favourite player growing up and why?
Keven Mealamu. He was a pillar of strength for the All Blacks and a hard worker.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Winning successive Super Rugby titles.
Which player would you love to play alongside?
Beast Mtawarira.
Which player would you hate to play against?
Chabal.
At what point did you decide that you wanted to become a professional rugby player?
When I received my first contract from the Bulls.
What has been the most challening aspect of your career?
Having to deal with negativity.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I like to be boxed in my zone.
Which is your favourite stadium to play at besides Growthpoint Kings Park?
Twickenham.
What do you plan to do after rugby?
Enter the business world.
What is your favourite movie?
Remember the Titans.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
