Schwartzel started with a 63 and is three strokes adrift of leader Keegan Bradley.

Louis Oosthuizen trails by seven shots.

Oosthuizen carded a first round 67 on Thursday.

Trevor Immelman signed for a 68 in Texas.

Branden Grace made the headlines on the European Tour yesterday.

Grace beat defending champion, Nicolas Colsaerts, in first round action at the Volvo Match Play Championship in Bulgaria.
