Bismarck du Plessis, Jannie du Plessis and Willem Alberts will all be departing after the clash between the Sharks and DHL Stormers this weekend.

Bismarck has been at the Sharks since 2005 and has made 129 SupeRugby appearances for the KZN franchise.

Jannie joined the Sharks in 2008 and has represented them in 117 SupeRugby fixtures.

Alberts made his Sharks debut in 2010.

He has played 72 SupeRugby matches for the Sharks and has also featured in 19 Absa Currie Cup games.

Sharks CEO, John Smit, confirmed their imminent departures on the Sharks website today: “These three gents have played an instrumental and invaluable role at The Sharks over the years. It is naturally disappointing to lose these calibre of players that have given so much to Sharks rugby.  As in many senior statesmen’s careers they felt the time was right to experience something different abroad."

Glen Jackson will referee the Sharks v Stormers match on Saturday night.
