Amla sizzles in the desert heat
South Africa have ended day one of the first cricket Test against Pakistan on 245 for eight.
The Proteas won the toss and chose to bat in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
Hashim Amla is undefeated on 118. It is his 20th Test century.
JP Duminy is out for 57, AB de Villiers 19, Graeme Smith 15, Jacques Kallis five, Alviro Petersen three and Faf du Plessis one.
Test rookie, Zulfiqar Babar, has claimed three wickets for Pakistan.
This is the first of two Tests.
