Zuma wants some ConCourt Justices recused from IEC case
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
Former president Jacob Zuma has called for the Constitutional Court Justices who presided over his 2021 contempt of court matter to recuse themselves in his case against the IEC.
Zuma believes the six justices May be bias in the case, which is expected to be heard on Friday.
Last month, the IEC appealed the Electoral court's judgement, which gave Zuma the green light to contest in the upcoming elections despite his conviction.
In the court papers, Zuma maintains that justices Mbuyiseli Madlanga, Steven Majiedt, Nonkosi Mhlantla, Leona Theron and ZukisaTshiqi may be unfair to him.

Zuma was sentenced to 15 months direct imprisonment for contempt of court after he refused to appear before the Zondo Commission.
He says the justices have conflict of interests on the basis that they are likely to interpret their own previous decision contrary to the IEC matter in such a way as to automatically differ with the view of the Electoral Court.
