The IFP has questioned President Jacob Zuma on a string of controversial topics - including action taken against assault-accused MP, Mduduzi Manana and Zimbabwe's First Lady, Grace Mugabe.

President Zuma has been addressing the National Assembly, in a Q and A session.

The IFP's Liezl Linda Van Der Merwe has asked the president what action is being taken.

"Will you take steps against the Minister of Social Development for harbouring criminals and what steps are you personally taking to ensure that those guilty parties will be reported to authorities? Mr President, if you don't act yourself - then you, the Minister of Social Development, the Minister of International Relations, and the honourable Manana are all guilty of the abuse of women," she says.

The President responded saying the country has structures in place to deal with these matters.

"People who commit such crimes are reported and the law takes its course. Standing here, I don't know who are the people abusing women. I'm sure those who have knowledge will know what to do. So I can't answer your question fully. In my Cabinet, I have not seen anyone. If I knew, I would be able to report this," he says.
