Youth Focus: 'Leaders lead by serving'
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Giving hope to children, whilst focusing on development is the ethos of local youth organisation, Youth for Christ KZN.
With offices in Durban and Pietermaritzburg, YFC KZN has been running since the early 80s and is a division of national body, Youth for Christ South Africa.
Marketing and fundraising co-ordinator, Previn Padayachee, has been speaking to ECR Newswatch leading up to Youth Day, June 16.
Padayachee says servant leadership is the core value that runs throughout their projects.

"The focus is always leaving the world in a better place than we found it and handing the baton on to young individuals who we have given the skills and values in order for them to continue that work," he says.
The organisation's projects include Khayalethu, Tennyson House, and the May’khethele Project to name a few - which support abandoned children and children vulnerable to HIV.
The NGO also runs a 10-month internship programme that offers those aged between 18 and 25 the opportunity to volunteer.
Padayachee has shared this message to current leadership.
