Updated | By Lauren Hendricks
Search and rescue teams are in Utrecht in northwestern KwaZulu-Natal, looking for a woman believed to have drowned during heavy rains on Wednesday.

The KZN Cooperative Governance's Senzelwe Mzila says the taxi she was travelling in was swept away after the driver tried to cross the swollen Ncamndane River.
He reported that four people were in the minibus.
"Three occupants managed to escape to safety, however, a 33-year-old female passenger was unable to escape and drowned.

"Reports received by the department indicate that rescue teams were promptly dispatched to the scene. Efforts to recover the body were unsuccessful. The search and rescue efforts are continuing.
"MEC Buthelezi has extended his deepest sympathy to the bereaved family and has directed disaster management teams to provide the necessary support during this difficult time."
The department says the provincial Disaster Management Centre is still responding to reports of incidents in various districts after the week's significant rainfall.
