Woman mauled by pitbulls in Durban North

A newspaper delivery woman is recovering in hospital after she was mauled by a pair of pitbulls in Durban North.

Netcare 911 says she was attacked on Wednesday on Bougainvillea and Honeysuckle Drive in Glen Anil.
"Members of the public intervened to free the lady from the dogs," spokesperson Shawn Herbst.
"When medics arrived on scene they found that the lady had sustained multiple dog bites to her lower torso.
"The patient was treated on scene by medics and once stabilised was transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment. Authorities have been notified and will investigate accordingly."
