A woman has been killed after a car slammed into her and another pedestrian in Port Shepstone.
KwaZulu Private Ambulance's Craig Botha says the crash happened on Nelson Mandela Drive on Monday afternoon.
He says paramedics found the woman pinned between a tree and the vehicle.
"Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that the two occupants of the car had sustained minor injuries.
"One of the pedestrians also sustained minor injuries. They assessed the second pedestrian and found that the pedestrian had sustained fatal injuries when the patient was caught between the car and the tree.
"Sadly, the patient succumbed to the injuries before paramedics could arrive on scene. The other three patients were transported hospital after being treated on scene."
