Willies Mchunu sworn in as acting KZN Premier

Willies Mchunu has been sworn in as acting KZN Premier following the resignation of Senzo Mchunu.
The Provincial Executive Council held a special meeting in Durban this morning where the former Transport, Community Safety and Liaison MEC was nominated, designated and sworn in.
The executive council congratulated him on his new assignment, expressing its confidence in his leadership.
The council pledged its support to the acting Premier in taking forward government's programme and bettering the lives of KZN residents.
Officials also thanked Senzo Mchunu for his role as Premier, wishing him well in his new deployment.
The former Premier stepped down yesterday after reports surfaced of his allegedly forced resignation surfaced on Friday evening.
