Will Zuma intervene in the Eskom vs defaulting municipalities pickle?

The SA Local Government Association says they will approach President Jacob Zuma to assist in finding a solution in the Eskom debt situation.
SALGA says it wants to arrange a meeting with the president to ask that he step-in to resolve the problem which has led to Eskom threatening to switch off the lights for defaulting municipalities.
At the beginning of the month of February, Eskom gave the eight municipalities a week to make payments or debt repayment plans.

The utility says it's still in talks with four municipalities, the other four have started making payments.
The municipalities racked up A debt of over R10 billion has been last year. SALGA Sivuyile Mbambatho's says this was one of the key issues that were discussed at its National Executive Committee lekgotla - which wrapped up yesterday.
"These are the issues that need to be taken at the highest political levels because municipalities are finding themselves under immense pressure," he said.
