Sindiso Magaqa whistleblower accused of assault
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
An anti-corruption activist and whistleblower in the Sindiso Magaqa murder case is facing assault charges.

Thabiso Zulu allegedly assaulted a pregnant woman who was canvassing for a position of ward councillor at the Hanniville community hall in September this year.
Police say the KZN Political Task Team was brought in to investigate the case.
They say he was arrested last week and granted bail.
Zulu is expected back in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate's Court next month.
He previously testified before the Moerane Commission into political killings in the province.
He and slain Umzimkhulu councillor Sindiso Magaqa were friends.
