Amanzimtoti murder-accused Werner de Jager has died.

The Department of Correctional Services says he passed away in the hospital on Monday.
In a statement to Newswatch, the department said De Jager was admitted to King Edward Hospital in Durban ten days ago.
But it hasn't specified what he was admitted for.

De Jager was facing a premeditated murder charge in connection with the 2021 killing of his pastor wife, Liezel.
She was found dead at her home two-and-a-half years ago.
The 45-year-old Werner was being held at Westville Prison - awaiting his next court date of 10 May.
Civil rights group Action Society has been representing Liezel's family.
Spokesperson Juanita du Preez says they are in disbelief.
"We just learned about it and we are shocked. We still have a bit of mixed emotions going on, it was not what we expected."
Du Preez says Liezel's family is aware of what's happened.
"They have told us that they were informed, but it's also a difficult time for them."
