Weather experts predict snow on the berg

As temperatures drop in KZN this weekend, light snow is expected in areas over the Drakensberg.
According to the Snow Report SA, snow is expected over the Central and Southern Drakensberg as well as in eastern Lesotho.
"The majority of snow will fall overnight over the Drakensberg, and up to 20cm can be expected on some of the peaks like Giants Castle, Njesuthi and Mafadi." SnowReport says.
With a 60% chance of rain, temperatures in the northern parts of the province, namely Kokstad, Underberg and Giant's Castle - will range between 9 degrees and 13 degrees today.
Meanwhile, in Durban - temperatures are forecast at a maximum of 18 degrees.
While areas in the KZN Midlands such as Underberg and Mooi River will experience low temperatures of 11 and 16 degrees respectively.
Snow will be confined to the high lying areas of the berg.
