WATCH: Durban's Grey Street Mosque gutted in fire
Updated | By Tamasha Khanyi
Authorities suspect an open flame was behind a blaze at the Grey Street Mosque in Durban Central.

It's understood that a storeroom at the mosque on Dr Yusuf Dadoo Street caught alight on Monday morning.
eThekwini Fire's District Commander Sifiso Mtshali says they found miscellaneous items, including plates, sheets and clothing, at the facility.
He says no one was hurt.
"We managed to evacuate all the occupants that were inside that building to a safe zone. We managed to contain the damage to only the structure that was reported to be alight. No other structures were affected."
Mtshali says officials contained the blaze within an hour.
"The exact determination can only be made once an investigation has been carried out by a competent person to determine with certainty what caused the fire.
"But we do have our suspicions, and they are centered around an open flame, maybe a cigarette, a match, or something might have started the fire itself."
