WATCH: ActionSA holds ‘Hands off Mkhwanazi’ picket in Durban
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
ActionSA picketed outside the KwaZulu-Natal police headquarters in Durban on Thursday.

Party members and supporters are calling for urgent action over what they say is a police crisis in the country.
A small crowd of ActionSA supporters dressed in green party t-shirts are gathered outside the provincial SAPS offices.
They held placards that read ‘Hands off Mkhwanazi’, ‘Investigate now’, and ‘Fix the SAPS Now’.
There was a heavy police presence around the building, with uniformed officers stationed at entrances and monitoring the protest from all sides.
The protest follows explosive claims made by KZN Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi this weekend about alleged interference in police work.
He alleges a criminal syndicate has infiltrated the SAPS and has made serious allegations against Minister Senzo Mchunu and other high-ranking police officials.
ActionSA says the situation reflects a deeper crisis in law enforcement and the criminal justice system and they're calling for urgent intervention.
KwaZulu-Natal chairperson Zwakele Mncwango is led the protest.
They say rooting out corruption and restoring the integrity of SAPS must start from within.
