VW recalls over 270 Polos over potential defect
Updated | By Tamasha Khanyi
A total of
271 VW Polo sedans are being recalled.

The National Consumer Commission's issued a statement for vehicles that have been sold since August 11th, 2022.
The car manufacturer has informed the NCC that the recall is due to incorrectly fitted seat belts on the driver and passenger sides.
Last Thursdays, the commission recalled 18 cars but has since added 253 more vehicles.
The commission’s spokesperson Phetho Ntaba says the defect could lead to serious or fatal injuries on the road.
"We call upon consumers, owners or motorists to heed the call and take the vehicle to an approved dealership so they can replace quick check and replace a faulty component. This is the only way we can say a recall was a success."
She says they will be monitoring the process.
"We will continue engaging with the service providers to understand other details as far as the recalls are concerned."
