Union awaits eThekwini's response on Metro Police internal issues
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The SA Municipal Workers Union expects to receive feedback from eThekwini today on how its dealing with grievances among Durban Metro Police officers.
Around 1600 officers are demanding the removal of two senior members, including Metro boss Eugene Nzama.
Disgruntled officers raided City Hall on Tuesday, disrupting political party caucus meetings.
SAMWU's Jaycee Ncanana says members have promised to wait patiently and are hopeful of positive feedback.
"Due to the fact that the municipal manager has committed himself, the only thing they intend to do is send their representative again to talk to the municipal manager and find ways and means of implementing the decision that has been taken. So that the investigation begins," he said.
