uMhlathuze mayor: Water to be restored soon

The City of uMhlathuze says its engineers are working around the clock to restore water supply to Esikhaleni, Felixton, and Dlangezwa.
Over 20 000 households have been without water for days due to a 600-meter pipeline leak.
Technicians are also working on repairing a valve-related issue within the Dlangezwe water reticulation network.

Mayor Xolani Ngwezi says they have been supplying water takers to the affected areas, as well as the University of Zululand, that has had to suspend its academic activities.
"We are fixing the pipes, and I can assure our community that by tomorrow we would have finished the installation of the pipe that had a problem.
"Today and tomorrow, we will be dealing with the installation if the air valves and all other issues. The normal water supply, according to information I have, is that we will resume in the normal way that the community knows on Friday morning."
