Umbilo hijacking, high-speed chase leads to two arrests
Police have closed the Hansdettman Highway near Wiltshire Road after a vehicle overturned during a high-speed chase. UPDATE: The highway has since been opened and the accident scene cleared.

Spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says two people have been arrested after officers received reports of a hijacking in Umbilo.
"The suspects fled the scene, hijacked a vehicle somewhere near Malvern where police tried to chase the said vehicle. It is alleged that the suspects sped off and their vehicle overturned. They were arrested while one firearm was recovered as well.
"The two suspects will be charged for the possession of an unlicensed firearm as well as hijacking. They are being taken to hospital under police guard," he said.
Paramedics says the two suspects sustained critical injuries.
The highway, in the vicinity of Malvern, west of Durban has since been re-opened.
