Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
A task team is investigating the in and outsourcing of services at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal.
The university says although it's not facing any action from students as is the case elsewhere, it saw it fit to establish the task team nonetheless.
The task team made of students, human resources and labour representatives is to compile and benchmark information relating to current staff numbers performing various duties including cleaning amongst others.
In an emailed statement, the university says the team will also look into the status of the current tender processes and its cleaning, gardening and security services.
Its says since the team's work is already underway, it is expected to table its' proposal and recommendations before the institutions's executive management soon.
