Ugu official: 'We are not under administration'
Despite the deployment of an administrator - Ugu officials insist the district municipality is not under administration.
Msunduzi Municipality administrator, Sibusiso Sithole, left the Midlands last week and was redeployed to the south coast.
Like uMsunduzi, Ugu is facing a number of challenges. It's been rocked by ongoing water supply issues - leaving residents frustrated.

The municipality's spokesperson, France Zama says Sithole was brought in after they'd asked COGTA for assistance. This was when their municipal manager went on leave.
"At the time when the council had resolved to quest COGTA to assign someone to assist the municipality, it was the time when the incumbent municipal manager, had taken sick leave and currently on sick leave. We are not under administration. I think that that is just wishful thinking," he says.
