Senior weather forecaster Wiseman Dlamini says it's likely to lead to possible heavy downpours.
" We actually have this upper system called a cut-off flow situated over central parts of the country. As a result, we do expect some showers and thundershowers, to persist from this evening into tomorrow as well. We're looking at the whole coast of KZN, so that will be eThekwini, Ugu, Ilembe, King Cetshwayo and Umkhanyakude districts."
Dlamini urging residents to stay indoors if they do not have to be anywhere and avoid the roads if they can.
" Avoid crossing the swollen rivers and streams. Even the small bridges where you can't see the road properly – [whether ] you're driving or walking. Move your valuable into a safe place when you see your building getting warter-logged so that you don't lose everything should you be affected by this rain."
