Two people are receiving treatment in hospital after an apparent poisoning incident in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.

A man and a woman, believed to be employees on an estate in Howick, were treated for organo-phosphate poisoning and taken to hospital in a serious condition yesterday.
Emergency services say the woman was found lying on the floor in the home - with stomach pains and nausea.

Midlands EMS spokesperson, Derrick Banks says the man was found unresponsive.
"They quickly assessed him and found that he was not breathing. They started CPR and used advance life support interventions. We were lucky enough to bring him back to life. He was placed on a ventilator before being transported through to hospital," Banks said.
