Two men shot and killed in Plessislaer
Two men have died after they were shot in Plessislaer in Pietermaritzburg.
Police say three men were seated in a car outside a tavern in Caluza on Monday night when gunmen opened fire on them.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Jay Naicker says a 28-year-old passenger died later in hospital.
The driver is being treated for his injuries.
"The third victim who fled the scene after being shot was found dead this morning.
"Police in Plessislaer are investigating two counts of murder and one of attempted murder.”
The body of the third victim was recovered from the Mvubukazi River by search and rescue officials.
