Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Two men have been killed after a substation exploded in Isipingo, south of Durban.

It's suspected they were tampering with the Cocos and Bauhenia Mini Substation in Lotus Park when it burst into flames on Tuesday.
It caused an interruption to power supply in the area.
eThekwini Municipality spokesperson, Gugu Sisilana, says the two men's bodies were found at the scene.
"The suspected theft and vandalism of critical electricity infrastructure led to this tragedy. Preliminary findings suggest the explosion was caused by unlawful interference with live electrical components, allegedly with the intent to sabotage.

"This triggered a fire that resulted in the deaths of two of the four suspects believed to have approached the substation with criminal intent."
Sisilana electricity supply has been restored to parts of the affected area, with full restoration expected on Tuesday evening.
The substation has been isolated in preparation for the installation of a new transformer.
