Two men were killed in two separate suspected drug-related shooting incidents on Saturday.
The first happened along Wick Street in Verulam where a man was allegedly shot dead by unknown suspects as he was a leaving a bar in the early hours of the morning.

"When reaction officers got to the scene, they found a male on the side-walk. He had been shot once. Paramedics declared him deceased a short while later. According to witnesses the man had just exited a bar when a car pulled up beside him.
“Three men were seated in the car, one got off and fired a single shot and fled the scene. A 9mm spent cartridge was found on the scene."
A few hours later, KZN VIP paramedics responded to a shooting of a 25-year-old man who was also allegedly gunned down in a drive-by shooting at Stanmore in Phoenix.
"Upon arrival of paramedics response teams one person sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was sadly declared deceased at the scene. Circumstances leading to the shooting cannot be confirmed at this stage," said medics spokesperson Gareth Naidoo.
