Two suspects killed in a shootout with police in Wasbank, northern KZN, were wanted for a string of cash-in-transit robberies.

It's understood they were allegedly involved in at least six CIT’s which took place between 2022 and March this year.
They were killed in a gun battle last night.
“Police were following intelligence about the whereabouts of the suspects who were wanted for at least six cash in transit robbery incidents which happened in KwaDukuza, Verulam, Nyoni, Greytown, Phoenix and Langslaagte,” said KZN police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda.
Police identified the house in which the suspects were hiding and when they arrived and introduced themselves, the suspects fired shots towards police officers and a shootout ensued.
