'Touch-and-go' for load shedding over next few days
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Eskom has suspended loadshedding but warns it's a
touch-and-go situation for a few days.
Spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha says the system will remain constrained on Monday and Tuesday and it is expected that extensive
use of emergency reserves will be required ahead of eight units returning by Wednesday.
The power producer suspended loadshedding last night following sufficient recovery in generation capacity.

The rolling power cuts escalated to stage 4 last week after Eskom suffered more breakdowns at its generation plants.
Mantshantsha said since Friday, Eskom teams have returned four generation units to service.
"The emergency generation reserves have also sufficiently recovered. Eight other generating units are expected to return to service by Wednesday evening."
