From Beyonce's ethereal performance to Adele's acceptance speech following her fifth and biggest win of Best Album of the Year, here are five of the biggest moments from this year's Grammy Awards ceremony.

Pregnant Beyonce slays on stage

Taking home the statuette for Best Urban Contemporary Album, Beyonce performed “Love Drought” and “Sand Castles” from her hit album Lemonade with a gold ensemble in her first appearance since announcing her pregnancy.


Adele's heartfelt tribute to Beyonce 

Adele swept up the trio of major prizes - Album, Record and Song of the Year - along with two other pop awards. Yet accepting the Record of the Year award for Hello she paid a heartfelt tribute to Beyonce.  

"My idol is Queen Bey, and I adore you. You move my soul every single day. And you have done for nearly 17 years. I adore you."


Adele stops George Michael tribute, starts again

The British star - known for her ballads - redid her tribute to the late George Michael - after what seemed to have been a technical error.

It would be the second straight year she suffers an embarrassment due to technical issues. In last year's awards ceremony,  a microphone that had fallen on the piano strings which resulted in an off-key performance of All I Ask.

"I know it's live TV, I'm sorry. But I can't do it again like last year," she said.


Artists against Trump 

Various leading artists took a bold anti-Trump stance at the Grammy Awards. Busta Rhymes denounced Trump as "Agent Orange" comparing his somewhat tanned appearance with the Vietnam War-era herbicide. While wearing a wristband that read "resist” and a planned parenthood pin, Katy Perry ended her performance with the words of the Constitution etched behind her.
