Toddler twins severely burned in Durban North house fire

Two Durban North toddlers have sustained severe burn injuries - following a house fire near Swapo Road that broke out earlier today.
Reports from the scene are that the three-year-old twins - a boy and a girl - were rescued from the home by the family's domestic worker.

Marshall Security spokesperson, Kyle van Reenen, says the children are in a serious condition.
Firefighters remain on scene.
"It is contained at the moment. There's no visible flames. The firefighters are inside the property at the moment, just doing their further checks. The flames were coming out of the roof," he said.

Van Rreenen says no other injuries have been reported.
