Tik haul worth R900 000 seized

Western Cape police have confirmed a man arrested with a tik haul worth R900 000 will appear in the dock once he has been formally charged.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel André Traut said in a statement that the bust took place at about 3pm yesterday afternoon.
“Members of the Western Cape Flying Squad pulled over a vehicle on the N1 freeway [near] Goodwood, after information was received about drugs being transported.
“After searching the suspect’s vehicle, they found three one kilogram bags of tik in the vehicle,” he said.
The suspect, a 43-year-old man, was arrested on a charge of dealing in drugs.
