Three jailed for Margate police officer's murder

Three people have begun serving life sentences after being convicted of murdering a south coast police officer three years ago.
Constable Delvin Vincent was shot dead on his way home from a friend's house in April 2015.
Spokesperson, Simphiwe Mhlongo says such actions cannot be tolerated.
"When we are dealing with cases, our members ensure that they leave no stone unturned during their investigations so that the perpetrators can be kept behind bars for a long time," he said.
Vincent had been based in Margate.

The accused were sentenced in the Ramsgate High Court on Wednesday. The Hawks in KwaZulu-Natal say anyone found guilty of carrying out an attack on law enforcement agencies will feel the full might of the law.Spokesperson, Simphiwe Mhlongo says such actions cannot be tolerated.

"Those who are attack our police officers must know that they are killing our nation, because the police are protecting our communities."
