Teacher suspended for sending nude pictures to students
The Kwazulu-Natal Education Department wants a Sydenham teacher who sent nude photos of himself and inappropriate videos to a 14-year-old pupil - to be suspended immediately.
The parents went to the police last month and more pupils have since come forward with complaints against the 33-year-old teacher.
The Arts & Culture teacher - who's also a father - has since handed himself over to police.
Education HOD - Enock Nzama addressed pupils this morning at the school.
"We do suspect that they will be more cases of this nature, so talking to the learners might also assist those that have been quiet all along, so that we are able to establish exactly whether this has been the practice in this school or not. We are not familiar with what is taking place on a daily basis- that is the main purpose of addressing the learners and the teachers," he said.
