An alleged drug dealer will spend the weekend in custody after he was nabbed by members of the Hawks in Phoenix, north of Durban.
The man was arrested in Tashmeera Gardens on Friday.
Hawks spokesperson Simphiwe Mhlongo says they received information about drug dealing activities in the area.
"Upon searching the premises, mandrax tablets and heroin capsules to the street value of approximately R506 900 were found," says Mhlongo.
Mhlongo says the suspects will appear in court soon.
"The suspect was subsequently placed under arrest and charged for dealing in drugs. He is expected to appear in the Verulam Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 28 November 2022."
