Support needed for pupils when matric results are released - Parents' Association

Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga will announce the 2020 Matric results this morning.
The previous year’s matric pass rate surpassed the 80% mark for the first time in South Africa.
KZN Parent Association's Vee Gani says parents must be supportive as learners as navigating through a pandemic brought with it a unique set of challenges.
"There's also the element of surprise, they will ask themselves; did I do well, did I qualify, did I get enough points. So, I think there is excitement but also there is trepidation.

"I think it is natural that they will be worried because they have been in a historical year. Never has education suffered that kind of set back. Parents have to be understanding, especially for the children who didn't do well."
