Still hope of finding missing DA leader
Updated | By Newswatch
There is still hope that the missing South African tourist lost in Nepal could still be found alive.
The ultra-light aircraft that Petrol Nel, who is also the DA's deputy leader in the North West, had been traveling in was equipped with a parachute capable of safely landing the aircraft.
This is according to the DA's Chris Hattingh. He says the South African government has requested Nepal continue searching for Nel and the Russian pilot.
3 search parties made up of members of the Nepalese police, army and their local authorities are currently looking for Nel.
Her husband JC and their sons John J. and Juan are receiving support and updates from the South African Department of International Relations and Co-operation.
