Stellenbosch student suspended after alleged racist incident
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The University of Stellenbosch says a white student seen in video footage urinating on another student's bed in an alleged racist incident has been suspended.

The incident happened on Sunday morning in the Huis Marais residence on the campus.
The university has condemned it as racist, hurtful and destructive, with Vice-Chancellor Win de Villiers saying no student has the right to diminish another student's human dignity or rights.
It says the alleged perpetrator has been removed from the residence and counselling offered to the other student.
The institution says it's launched an investigation and based on the findings, expulsion and criminal charges could be a possibility.
