State capture accused to be behind bars by Sept: NPA
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Prosecutors say they are reprioritising matters at the NPA to ensure that cases linked to state capture allegations are dealt with as soon as possible.
The prosecuting authority and the Hawks have promised to bring those implicated in these crimes behind bars by the end of September.
They have said in a joint statement that they have dedicated teams probing those cited in the report by the commission of inquiry into state capture.

The final report of the commission has recommended that 200 individuals face criminal charges.
They include influential people and those in the private sector.
"Important progress has already been made: 86 investigations have been declared by the ID, 21 matters enrolled in court, and 65 accused persons appearing in court on alleged state capture crimes," says the NPA's Mthunzi Mhaga.
