State to appeal Oscar's verdict tomorrow
Updated | By Khatija Nxedlana
Oscar Pistorius' case will be back in court tomorrow when the State will ask a full bench of five judges in the Supreme Court of Appeal to reject his trial verdict of culpable homicide for killing Reeva Steenkamp and convict the double-amputee of murder.
The appeal comes as Pistorius has spent just under two weeks under house arrest at his uncle's plush Pretoria home after being released from prison.
Advocate Inez Bezuidenhout who is the Director of the Law Clinic at the University of the Free State says it is likely that the court firstly will determine if the appeal was correctly referred to the court in terms of the question of law.
''It is foreseeable that first of all there will be arguments by the state and the defence deciding whether this case is indeed referred correctly to the court in terms of the question of law or whether it's a factual finding,'' she said.
