Social Development MEC wants swift arrest of PMB boy’s killer

Social Development MEC
Mbali Shinga has called on police to leave no stone unturned in the search for
the killer of a seven-year-old Pietermaritzburg boy.

Linathi Mkhize's body was found with his hands and legs bound inside a man's shack at Ezinketheni Informal Settlement on Saturday.
The boy had been stabbed multiple times.

He'd been missing since Thursday afternoon after being sent to a local spaza shop.
It's understood the suspect is known to the victim's family.
"This is a very young boy and innocent child. We hope that this man will be found and arrested so that he will be able to answer what exactly happened to this child,” said KZN Social Development spokesperson Mhlabunzima Memela.
“The MEC Social Development has dispatched a team of social workers to provide psychosocial support. They will remain with the family until they finalise the send-off of their little one.”
