Snow falls in southern Drakensberg region

It's snowing in KZN - with temperatures in the Drakensberg set to drop to a maximum of nine degrees today. as the cold weather brings with it more showers and windy conditions for KZN.

The province was hit by a storm last night - which saw heavy rain, and thunder showers. Mgungundlovu, iLembe, eThekwini, uThukela, and Ugu Districts were affected by the adverse weather.
Speaking to Newswatch, Frans van Teeffelen says although large snowflakes are falling - there isn't enough on the ground yet to build a snowman.
Meanwhile, Gauteng and Mpumulanga are counting the costs after storms descended on both provinces. Emergency officials say a tornado is what led to at least nine people being injured in Delmas, Mpumulanga.
ER24 medics say six people were treated for minor to moderate injuries yesterday when a business property was seriously damaged.

Strong winds caused a home to collapse in Bapsfontein in Gauteng. A man and his two children were treated on the scene.
At least 400 schools in KZN were severely damaged in recent storms, the Education Department says.
