Slain Inchanga teacher’s family calls for 'swift justice'

The family of an Inchanga teacher, who was allegedly murdered by her police officer husband, is calling for swift justice and a harsh sentence for her killer.

The Camperdown Magistrate's Court has denied Mthokozisi Nene bail.
He allegedly shot his wife Thobeka Msomi-Nene, during an argument at their home west of Durban.
Her mother Thandeka Msomi says she's pleased her son-in-law wasn't given bail.

She remembers her daughter complaining about being physically abused.
"He was used to abusing my daughter, until at one point she moved back home with us because she had enough.
"She then asked me to stay with her two daughters to prevent them from witnessing the abuse and violence that was happening at their house. He was just a violent man in general."
