Sindiso Magaqa: Former Umzimkhulu manager to remain behind bars
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The bail application of a former Umzimkhulu municipal manager at the centre of the Sindiso Magaqa murder case has been postponed to later this month.

Zweliphansi Skhosana was re-arrested in Durban last week.
The development came after the hitman was sentenced to life in prison in July.
Skhosana was initially arrested in 2018 alongside the late mayor of the Harry Gwala District and a hitman.
The charges were withdrawn, with prosecutors saying there was insufficient evidence.
KwaZulu-Natal NPA spokesperson Natasha Kara says he made his second appearance in the Umzimkhulu Magistrate's Court on Friday.

" He faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder, as well as murder, firearm related charges, unlawful possession of ammunition, and defeating the administration of justice.
"The case was remanded to the 14th of August 2025 for a formal bail application."
Magaqa, a former ANC Youth League secretary-general, was ambushed in uMzimkhulu in July 2017 while travelling in a car with two fellow councillors. He died in a Durban hospital two months after the attack. The two women were injured.
