Siam Lee murder accused facing new charges

The man accused of kidnapping and murdering Durban North woman, Siam Lee is facing new charges.

This emerged in the Durban Magistrate's Court where the 29-year-old's bail application resumed earlier.

Lee disappeared from outside an alleged Durban North brothel in January.

Her badly burnt body was found two days later on a farm in New Hanover in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.

The court heard that the accused was issued a summons today to appear in the Germiston Magistrate's Court in June.

The charges are understood to relate to alleged environmental transgressions at his diesel processing plant in Gauteng.

Last month, the State quizzed the accused on the charges and handed up an affidavit deposed to by a government official dealing with the matter.

The official described the man as arrogant during her dealings with him.

Lee would have turned 21-years-old on Sunday.
