Shivambu ‘lacks constituency’ form own political party
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
A political analyst says it’s unlikely that former MK Party secretary general Floyd Shivambu will launch a new political party.

Shivambu will hold a press conference on Thursday, and some are speculating that he may announce his resignation from the MKP.
Shivambu was removed as the secretary general after visiting fugitive pastor Shepherd Bushiri in Malawi in April.
He has since been re-assigned to Parliament.
On Monday, party leader Jacob Zuma acknowledged the controversy the move has caused, but insisted the party would act against misconduct regardless of a member's seniority.

Political analyst Zakhele Ndlovu says Shivambu doesn’t have the political backing to form his own party.
" He doesn't have a constituency and he would be competing with the EFF and of course MK. So it's not a smart move on his part.
"Another thing is that he could say he going to stay in the MK Party because he's definitely not going go back to the EFF, but maybe if there's one party that he can join it is the ANC."
