Severe thunderstorms over KZN with reports of hail
Updated | By Nondumiso Dube
It's pouring in parts of KwaZulu-Natal, with some residents also reporting hail in their areas.
The South African Weather Service earlier on Friday issued a warning of severe thunderstorms and downpours with possible flooding in the Midlands, northern and western parts of the province.
It says residents can expect a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms going into the evening.
Weather Forecaster Wisani Maluleke says the rain is set to continue throughout the province on Saturday.

"There are currently thunderstorms already in KZN and we also have an alert of severe thunderstorm activity over the Midlands.
"This severe thunderstorms might come with heavy downpours, the possibility of hail and strong damaging winds. Tomorrow (Saturday), it's just general rain, 30 percent chance of rain."
For many parts of KZN, the rain is a welcome respite after days of sweltering heat.
