Security officer killed in Durban 'drive-by shooting'

A man has been shot and killed in what appears to have a drive-by shooting in Durban's Springfield Park area.
Paramedics were called to assist on Electron Road on Tuesday morning, where they found the victim, who's believed to have been about 50-years-old.
EMER-G-MED's Kyle van Reenen says he suffered fatal gunshot wounds and was declared dead on the scene.

"Reports from the scene allege the man to be a security officer who was shot by an unknown number of suspects in a drive by shooting, as he was arriving at his place of work.
"The South African Police Services were in attendance and will be conducting the necessary investigation accordingly."
