eThekwini says these will last 12 hours and are due to construction work at the Durban Heights Treatment Works by Umngeni Water.
The Municipality's Msawakhe Mayisela says this might affect residents in Pinetown and its surrounding areas.
"The construction will take place on 15 September 2020 from 07:00am to 19:00pm.
"We are therefore appealing to the public to use water sparingly but we would like to assure the public that tankers will be on stand by to ensure that they provide water where it may be needed.
